The Estates at Lowes Island
The Estates at Lowes Island is a community located at the end of Seneca Road, which straddles the border between Great Falls, Virginia in Fairfax County and Potomac Falls, Virginia in Loudoun County. This community is one of the most unique communities in Great Falls, VA because it is the only community that has access to all of the Cascades amenities that residents of Potomac Falls get to enjoy. The neighborhood also has it’s own Tennis Court, Pool, and tot lot. The Estates at Lowes Island is also one of the few communities in Great Falls that can be considered a true golf cart community, the neighborhood borders Trump National Golf Club of Washington D.C. which can be easily accessed via golf cart through a narrow path that connects the Estates at Lowes Island to Loudoun County. In order to reach Trump National by car, one needs to drive down Seneca Road and back up Algonkian parkway, which can take almost 20 minutes, but a golf cart cuts that time in nearly a quarter!
The residents of the Estates at Lowes Island in Potomac Falls are geographically grouped into Great Falls because Seneca Road runs parallel to the border of Loudoun County but all in Great Falls. The Estates at Lowes Island features 105 homes, 34 of which are in Great Falls, VA and the other 71 are in Potomac Falls, VA. This community doesn’t see too much turn over, in 2012 only three homes sold for an average Sold Price of $1,525,000 with an average days on market of 105 days, though the low was just 6 days!
