Pursuit of Happiness

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Gold State Properties GMAC
I just got back for a GMAC convention yesterday and they had Cris Gardner as a key speaker. He spoke about his struggles and how determined he was to succeed in life. His story is very similar to a lot of successful people who make the necessary sacrifice to achieve their dream. It is sad that I seen a lot of people in the real estate business dropping like flies and not willing to make the sacrifice need to survive this market. A agent asked me what I do to get business and she was very impressed with my response which was I cold call and door knock expired, FSBOs and Nods. I told her its that what you suppose to do! It is amazing that most agents don't do the things that we need to do which is PROPECTING!! and most of us like to be secret agents by not telling people that their not agent! I learned very young when my broker asked me which is better for you making excuses or money! I choose Money! I learned that we have to stick to our goals no matter what! Just like Chris, Tiger, Donald and other successful people like ourselves!! Cheers

Gary Keller's Book the Millionaire Real Estate Agent talks about superstar agents that make money in any market. Most of the do active prospecting as well as passive marketing. It's a great book, I highly recommend it to anyone that is serious about real estate.

NOTE: I'm not selling the book, just like the content inside :-)

What a great attitude and I think you will find with time blogging will get you just as much business as that door knocking and cold calling without the bloody knuckles.

For the record I still door knock a lot, but I really enjoy blogging also and I think you will find that in time you will enjoy it also.

Welcome to the rain,
