KC Royals        The Kansas City Royals have had several Caravan trips this winter.  The KC Royals Caravans have become a tradition with a tour following a path through Kansas City, parts of Missouri and sometimes ending up in Arkansas.  During January 2007, Caravans have traveled weekends through Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska.  Coverage of the Caravans and a Blog can be viewed at the KC Royals website.  There are photo galleries from last year's tours on the webpages as well.

Angel Berroa will need a good season and stayed in Kansas to train this winter.  His wife and new baby boy have been in the city as well.  Berroa was named American League Rookie of the Year in 2006, and according to FOX sports is slated to be starting shortstop for 2007.

Among other items revealed at the 15th Annual Baseball Forecast Luncheon was a report that the Krispy Kremes doughnut giveaway -- a free dozen to each ticketholder when the Royals get 12 hits in a game -- will be dropped this year.  Darn!

The Royals will hit the bases with some new faces this season.  The Kansas City Royals were established in 1969 and the team name taken from the American Royal Livestock Show held annually in Kansas City since 1899.

Kansas City is a  strong and progressive statement among other cities in the country and worthy of major sports teams.  Some communities that join KC to make up the Metro area include Overland Park,KS;  Roeland Park,KS; Lenexa,KS; Leawood,KS; OlatheKS; and Shawnee,KS.

I am a Kansas city native, NKC high school. No wonder the Royals did so poorly, Krispy Cremes are much worse than Dunkin Donuts. However, pitching may solve the problem also.

One KK now and then, but a DOZEN??   That was extravagant and after that first ONE, they are way too much.

There are some new members on the team; some of them building incentive for last year's players.  Sort of like having a new agent in the office?
