Top 2 Picks From the Barre Caravan
First, there’s no better way to stay on top of the inventory of homes for sale in Barre than by participating in the brokers caravan. In two hours today, a handful of us went through nine houses.
Of those nine homes for sale in Barre, here are my top two picks. Let me also say that “top” can mean a lot of different things. Today it means the ones that I thought were the best values and gave me the warmest of fuzzies. That’s a technical term, by the way.
#1 9 Trow Avenue in Barre City. This is one of those classic homes with beautiful woodwork. Hardwood floors, a butler’s pantry, and good-sized rooms. Not a ton of square footage (only 1240), but felt really comfortable and warm, even today when it was rainy and dreary outside.
One thing that may be a possible drawback to some buyers is that it has a shared garage. Think of a two car garage with a wall through it. You get half of it and your neighbor gets half of it. So, that’s a little unusual, but nothing that can’t be worked out. Call or email for more info.
Good neighborhood too…Trow dead ends to Orange, which itself is a dead end. 9 Trow is listed at $109,900. Nope, not kidding.
#2 34 Lague Lane in Barre Town. Other end of the spectrum. Here you get comfortable open spaces that come from house built in the 1950s and 1960s. Huge living room, large open kitchen with peninsula, large family room, and a killer deck (above the entirety of the two car carport). Again, just lots of open space, and the kind of layout that will feel just right to a lot of buyers.
It also has a big, fenced backyard. So let the dogs or kids just run around and go bonkers. They can’t get into any trouble.
34 Lague Lane in Barre Town has just had the price reduced to $169,900 and is ready to go.
There were other good houses too, but to me, these were the top picks of the new listings in Barre. For more information on these or any home for sale in Barre, just call or email.
