What do you see? What can we learn from Kids?

Title Insurance with Family Abstract, Inc.

When I look at a patch of dandelions, I see a bunch of weeds that are going to take over my yard.

What my kids see are flowers for Mom and blowing white fluff you can wish on.

When I look at an old drunk and he smiles at me, I see a smelly, dirty person who probably wants money and I look away.

What my kids see is someone smiling at them and they smile back.

When I hear music I love, I know I can’t carry a tune, so I sit self-consciously and listen.

What my kids hear is the beat and move to it. They sing the words and if they don’t know them, they make up their own.

When I feel wind on my face, I brace myself against it. I feel it messing up my hair and pulling me back when I walk.

What my kids feel is they close their eyes, spread their arms and fly with it, until they fall to the ground laughing.

When I pray, I say thee and thou and grant me this, give me that.

What my kids pray is “Hi God! Thanks for my toys and my friends.”

When I see a mud puddle I step around it. I see muddy shoes and dirty carpets.

What my kids see are dams to build, rivers to cross, and worms to play with.

I wonder if we are given kids to teach or to learn from?

Just my 3 cents for today, I adjusted it for Inflation.  From my Family at Family Abstract, Inc. to yours, All our very best.  Please give us the privilege and honor to assist with your next refinance or home purchase acting as your title company.

Good afternoon Glenn -

Wow..... This one is a keeper and so very true.  As the old saying goes...... "Through the eyes of a child."  Now if only to remember and live by this.  Thanks for sharing my friend and hope you're having a great afternoon.

What's the old saying ... "Seeing the world through a child's eyes?"  What a gift, especially these days.  Somehow my mother has retained her ability to see the world much the same way.  She's aware, she just doesn't dwell on it.  I'm a work in progress on this issue ...

Thanks for sharing, Glenn ...

Lets shake things up at your home today!

This post actually brought tears to my eyes..........there is so much to be learned from kids.  Their innocence is priceless, we need to pay more attention to what they do and say.  Life is simple, adults complicate it.  For a funny man, you got pretty serious here pal, and I love it.  But if anyone knew you had a "huge heart", it's me!  ;~)

Hi Glenn, I really enjoyed this and we can all use the reminder to lighten up and focus on the joy and not the obstacles.

Roger, I am a regular box of chocolates, you never know what you'll get.  I'm thinking it may be Schizophrenia, but at least I am never alone.  Hey, here is a question... Why when we talk to god its praying and if we talk to ourselves its considered Schizophrenia?

Roger... Your the best!

Bill., now that my kids are 23 and 21, I get to have my friends kids come over and play at my house.  Im like a grandparent in training.  a 4 year old at the house on Sunday watched a Koi eat a baby koi that was eating fish food and instead of being freaked out that the fish got eaten she says, "It was like a salad"

Love kids!!
