Red Feather Lakes pulls at the heart strings
A few weeks ago, I had an opportunity to show a few Red Feather cabins to a couple from Colorado Springs.
They were just up for the weekend and in between fishing and cooking on the campfire, they had been driving around looking for the piece of land that used to belong to Grandma & Grandpa.
With just a quick search through the county records, I was able to find the property for them. The woman was so excited to see that land one more time- she had camped on it several times with her grandparents.
Even if they don’t remember the exact location, those priceless memories of camping, or staying at the family cabin are etched deep in the hearts and minds of many an adult who finds their way back to Red Feather.
There is a special magic here, even after so many years, Red Feather still pulls at the heart strings.
(which sometimes makes for a tearful closing too!)
