As a resident of Palm Valley, I've been shopping at the Safeway at the Palm Valley Marketplace for over 6 years.  Just over a year ago, a longtime business in the Marketplace closed.  The space wasn't empty for too long when a new business opened, a pet store.  I can't believe it took me over a year to actually go over and take a look. 

Scruff's Dog Food Co. is an independently owned store that caters mostly to dogs, but does have some cat food and supplies as well.  The owner was very friendly and seems very knowledgeable and it was great to see his dog also at work in the store.

If you shop at the Safeway, or you're driving by Litchfield and Indian School, take a few minutes and stop by Scruff's to see what it's all about.  Pick up a healthy treat for your dog or cat, or buy one of the super comfy feeling beds for your dog.  Your dogs deserve a little pampering once in a while too!
