Are you thinking about selling your home? I thought that I would help you to begin the process by getting your home ready. I have listed below a few ideas to help you get your home ready.

Curb appeal in my opinion is everything. When searching for a home the first impression is the exterior of the home. Is the yard mowed and edged? Are the plant beds free of weeds and freshly mulched? Does your front door need painted and your windows cleaned? Does your home give a warm, welcoming Vibe? If not, this is a great place to start. With a little elbow grease, you can have the exterior looking inviting and warm.
When is the last time that you did a thorough cleaning of your home? Not just surface cleaning, I mean cleaning your appliances, cabinets and closets too! With a thorough cleaning you can at the same time de-clutter. Buyers want storage! We all live in our homes, but when it comes time to sell, we have to stage our home. Inventory things you never use and decide if you should donate or have a garage sale. Start packing your personal items. Buyers want to be able to in vision what their things would like in the space and that is really hard to do with all of the personal photos around the home. Don’t forget cleaning off the Fridge!
Take a walk through your home. Evaluate whether you need to freshen up the trim with a fresh coat of paint. When was the last time the walls were painted? It may be time. Do you need to make any updates? Are your light fixture dated? Do your appliances need replaced? A professional Realtor® will be able to help answer these questions.
After you have spruced up the exterior and cleaned and de-cluttered the interior, don’t forget the little things. Put up a new shower curtain, place new rugs and hang new towels in the bathroom. Cut some flowers from your garden and place in a vase. Now you are ready!
