You know we hear that question a lot in our neck of the woods. And while it's not really a question that I am prepared to answer I do know exactly where and who you can get a great answer. There's a little store about 3 miles from my office that is right on the lake. In fact, they have a boat ramp and parking for trailers. And generally you can find a boat for sale on the other side the store. And inside the store you will find Big Ed. He's been there a really long time and he always knows where the fish are biting and what kind of bait they are biting. Oh and did I mention he can sell it to you as well. The name of the store is Lakeside Bait and Tackle.
There is Chevron gas for cars out front and for boats down at the dock. You can buy breakfast and/or lunch there. And it has all the stuff that will keep you from having to drive all the way back to town to get. I've had Donald stop by there for that one thing I forgot when I was buying groceries dozens of times.
I never go into the store without hearing Ed chatting away with the fishermen, (local and from out town) about where they are biting and what they are biting that day. And Ed always knows. But just so you know Big Ed is off on Tuesdays. Recently a former buyer client found that out. His wife wasn't catching fish anymore from her dock and he went by on a Tuesday to find out what bait he needed to buy. He called me and told me Ed wasn't there. I told him I forgot to tell him Ed is off on Tuesdays. Oops.
And if you want to buy a boat, sell a boat, buy a camper, sell a camper, get a boat repaired... basically all things Lake Sinclair, fishing or camping Ed is just your go to guy. And he has a memory like no one I know. He always remembers customers and asks about your friends and family and in my case my co-workers at Lane Realty. He keeps up with the real estate market too by asking how things are each time I stop by.
