Record Low Highs in Newnan Georgia

By

Record Low Highs in Newnan GeorgiaI did something today I haven’t done in August in all of the forty years that I have been living in Georgia.

I turned the heat on in my car!

This is Newnan Georgia for crying out loud, not Seattle Washington. Augusta Maine or Anchorage Alaska!

We have been experiencing record “low highs” over the past few days and while temperatures are still in the sixties the blowing rain makes it feel a lot colder.

We are certainly more accustomed to record highs in August than these record low highs!

It feels positively chilly.

And I could use a cup of hot coffee.

So, Richard!  Does this mean that global warming is a whole lot of hooey?  Actually, it's been chilly here, too.

Richard, I also had to use heat in my car a few mornings and I was surprised. After the record highs of last month, this month has been AC free and I keep a sweater handy!

But I am quite enjoying it. And now the heat is on the rise again for the week according to the weather this morning. I think you jinxed us.

Bet my dad is enjoying your cooler temps, he is now back to walking quite a few times a week for at least a mile and a half! And back to yard work too by the way. Perhaps it was a gift for him?
