"The Islip Art Museum is the leading exhibition space for contemporary art on Long Island. The New York Times has called the Museum the "best facility of its kind outside Manhattan." An ambitious exhibition program features contemporary art by national and international artists, as well as emerging artists from local communities."

Beside admiring wonderful local and international artist, classes can be taken to learn how to enhance your artist abilities.

Hi Laura, This is an institution. That first painting would be a fabulous area rug, full of color and texture. I like it as an art piece as well. The traditional architecture makes the contemporary art on display all the more interesting.
