I thought I would write a blog about the beautiful Hampton Cove, AL area (annexed by the City of Huntsville). It's really a wonderful area to live and offers over 20 different subdivisions with many different types of residental Real Estate.
Hampton Cove is a beautifully landscaped, planned community located in a valley in the foothills of Monte Sano. Since Hampton Cove is located within the Huntsville, Alabama, city limits, Hampton Cove receives all the benefits of city services while retaining that "small town" feeling. An incredibly stunning landscaped waterfall greet residents and visitors at the main entrance. This waterfall has been "home" to hundreds of wedding, engagement, graduation and family photos.
Hampton Cove began development in 1992 and some of the 20+ subdivisions are still growing today. The various neighborhoods offer different Real Estate options, with homes ranging in square footage from approximately 1,800 square feet all the way up to 8,000 square feet and feature luxury executive/estate type homes, family-sized homes, patio homes, and townhomes (the patio and townhomes include lawn/shrubbery maintenance).
The Hampton Cove Community features the Hampton House, a Nature Preserve, 28 lakes, several parks and more than 20 miles of continuous sidewalks!
The Hampton House is the community center, in Hampton Cove, for MANY social activities. The Hampton House is an optional membership to the entire community that includes an Olympic-sized swimming pool, 6 lighted tennis courts, state of the art workout equipment and fitness center, a playground and sand volleyball. Members may also use the 7,000 square-foot clubhouse with 2,000 square feet of covered porches to host any type of social event. Facilities include the Heron Room, a back lawn and patio, a poolside room and a Community Room. Once a "home" obtains the membership for The Hampton House, this membership becomes transferrable upon the sale of the home. What a WONDERFUL enticement to attract Buyers to a particular home! The Hampton House hosts many pool-sized parties, especially on holidays like the Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day.
While the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course is a separate entity from the Hampton House or Hampton Cove Association, it is located within the Hampton Cove Community. This golf course is surrounded by trees, green mountains, and lakes and offers some of the most beauitiful golf scenery in Alabama. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr, the 54-hole championship golf course offers many different skill level options. The Highlands Course is nestled in a natural cove, and offers the challenge and scenery of traditional Scotish links. The old mule barn by the 5th hole is one of the features of this course. The River Course is the only course on the Robert Trent Jones Golf trails without any bunkers. The Short Course is a Par 3 course and can be played in a couple of hours.
The Clubhouse at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course features a specially designed pro-shop, dining room, bar and meeting rooms. The full-service restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and after-hours meals and the rear veranda offers a full bar and an outdoor grill.
The school system for Hampton Cove consists of Hampton Cove Elementary and Hampton Cove Middle School, both located directly in the Hampton Cove Community. The high school is the highly rated Huntsville High.
The Hampton Cove Community offers a wide range of businesses that service the area: Publix, WalMart Supercenter, Lowes, pharmacies, service stations, restaurants, dry cleaners, and more! And even more options are available within 3-10 miles from the community.
