Seattle Meet-up -- 14 Carrot Cafe
We had a great meet-up in Seattle this morning at the 14 Carrot Cafe. There was discussion that we were having the first one of this cycle, but in checking on the list, find that David Saks in Memphis tried to hold one yesterday - but was the only AR member to show up. So maybe ours was still first - with multiple AR members attending.
It was great getting to meet several of the people that I had only known by their blogs before. People like Paul McFadden, a competitor in the mortgage field, but one who was willing to be friends as well. Charles Buell, who brought several members of his family, a great home inspector in the greater Seattle area. Need to remember Rene Fabre, who was kind enough to send me a special invitation to attend. And of course, Kerrie La Guardia, from the AR staff, who came in and was her normal bubbly self.
Then there were a couple others from AR who I had not run across yet - Barbie Van Horn, who works with Rene at First American Title, she cheated, as her office is only a bit down the block from where we met! Then there was an AR newbie, Katherine Gooding - who is building her real estate photography business, and found AR when trying to find why she wasn't making it near the top of Google in this new endeavor.
It seems a good time was had by all (for good picture of the group, see Charles' blog as linked above. It was just too bad that all the real estate agents in the area have so much business they couldn't join us. Maybe next time, they can carve out a bit of time.
