Vacation plans make your business pick up - I mean really pick up. I have heard this many times by many different people in the industry. I am finding out how true this really is. Believe me, I am not complaining - just stunned at how this works.
Here I am busily trying to tie up loose ends and make sure that my existing clients are to be taken care of by my back up when I leave for vacation for a week. I have talked with all of the lenders, other agents, title companies and clients to let them know who my back up is, when I will be leaving and when I will be returning. Then the phone begins to ring with the words I love to hear "I have a referral for you'. This has actually happened three times since Sunday. I am so excited to have three new clients, but to tell them I am off on vacation for a week when we just get started is a little disconcerting.
I am happy that I have a good back up and support system. This is number one in my action plan while planning to leave for vacation. I can go on my vacation and actually relax knowing that my clients are being well taken care of. And I know I will need the relaxation to begin with a vengeance once I return.
