Chocolate Pretzels

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker Realty

This is an easy snack to have on the table - open house visitors can walk around eating them.

2 bags chocolate chips (dark or milk chocolate)
1 bag pretzels - I think Logs work the best for this, but you can use medium or thick twists
Chopped nuts,  optional
Colored nonpareils, optional
Sprinkles,  optional
Coconut, optional
Crushed cookies, optional

Melt chocolate in double boiler over medium heat on stove top. Using tongs, quickly dip pretzels in chocolate allowing the excess to run off. Place dipped pretzels on waxed paper lined cookie sheets. Sprinkle with chopped nuts, colored sugars or other toppings. Allow to harden thoroughly.  You can put them in the refrigerator to help them harden.  Once hardened, remove from sheets and store in a cool location, with waxed paper between layers.

These are also cute to finish off cookie trays.

I love having goodies on the table at open houses.  They always get eaten up!  Thanks for the recipe.

I make chocolate houses, put them in little bags tied with ribbon and business card attached. Good recipe.

I  give away little clear gift bags with chocolate covered pretzels that I make at my open houses. I use the bigger rods and dip about 3/4 in milk chocolate and then drizzle white chocolate on them...they are always a big hit.
