Call-To-Action in your Social Media Posts

Reblogger
Services for Real Estate Pros

You may learn two things from this post: 1.) how to make your social media posts show an image that is appropriate for your post and/or 2.) how to take this to the next level with calls-to-action from your social media profiles.

Or maybe you won't learn a thing- but thanks for stopping by! Feel free to say hello in the comments and plus, like or tweet this post -- especially if you are sick of seeing generic icons in your social media feed. Stop the madness.

call to action buttons

The "register now" button may not be appropriate for this post, but in the video below- I illustrate why I added it. Since the social networks (Facebook, Google+) pull a thumbnail from your page, why not make that thumbnail a call-to-action button?

Helpful tip: Go to your FaceBook page and look at the ads they show you. Oftentimes, ad agencies spend much time and money researching what images inspire people to click FaceBook ads. I once found that when marketing a law firm to female FaceBook users, a picture of a smiling baby received the most clicks. For men, I'm a little embarrassed to say: it's often cleavage that get the clicks. (I don't recommend this tactic for real estate marketing, unless you are the Realtor and proud owner of the cleavage, of course.) But either way, FaceBook ads can definitely be a great place to get ideas.

Many have asked when the Summer MeetUps will take place this year and it's time to get the party started!!

What's a MeetUp you ask?  Well, a MeetUp is an informal get together for those interested in connecting and informally hanging out with other ActiveRain members and real estate professionals in their area.  We have members orchestrate MeetUps in their areas so ‘Rainers can get together and feel that live interaction that is so very special.  Great things happen at ActiveRain MeetUps!

Interested in hosting? Find ouf it you have what it takes to host a MeetUp? (Click this to find out more about hosting, what it entails and what is asked of you).

Summer 2013 MeetUps will take place the week of August 18th.  Any time between Sunday the 18th and Saturday the 24th.  All hosts will receive 2,000 points for taking the time to coordinate a spot and time.  All members who attend a MeetUp AND blog about it will receive 1,000 points too.  You'll get to hang out with other 'Rainers and earn points, wow!

All hosts - Please email kerrie@activerain:

Michael, You crack me up. I love your sense of humor.  Even if we are the proud owner of cleavage one would need to ask ... what are we really selling ... sex or real estate, maybe both.  You may not post often but when you do you really bring it. Thanks. I'll keep my cleavage to myself, thank you.

Oh I was going to suggest, but you did a reblog here.  Anyway, the AR logo on G+ is just a lost opportunity and basically says, this person has no clue what they are doing and they are not engaging or reading on there, so why bother commenting? Smart call to Action - Debbie

Yes Michael, glad to see that you did a video on this!! I wrote a post a couple of weeks ago about the AR logo. Seems that not everyone gets this!! I wish I would stop seeing those AR logos. I love the info how to turn the photo into a call to action.

So here I thought you were going to give a tip on how to have other people share our posts with a share arrow on the right side of our post showing the G+, FB, etc.

I did know your suggestion & I wish more people did!
