Home owners are always looking for a way to enhance their homes, but want to save money at the same time. No matter where you live in the world that the sun shines down on your home, solar panels can be installed. Say what you will about solar panels, but they are without a doubt amid the breakthrough inventions of the century! There are homes that are completely self-sufficient on energy due to solar panels! And a lot of governments around the gloge are consumers and suppliers 'grants' to help with the costs of installing solar panels.
Although recognized as a new source of energy, their evaluations and concepts date back as far as 1839. French physicist Antoine-Caesar extremely studied the first stages of this investigation. Charles Fritts would later produce the research in 1883. Finally leading to the first solar panel invented in 1941 by Russel Ohl. WHY DID IT TAKE SO LONG TO REACH THE CONSUMERS?
Solar Panels work by accumulating energy from solar rays dispersed by the sun and then converts it into electricity (the photovoltaic effect.) These panels have to be linked, NOT BROKEN, and secure from moisture to work properly. Right now current solar panels are struggling to convert 15% of the light weight they're carrying. In the future we're looking upwards of 50% but it looks like that may be years off. And costs to install and maintain have dimished compared to the last several decades. Which I believe will continue to drop as technology advances at the rapid rate it has been!
