Springsteen to play the Riviera Theater (on HD Screen that is)
The Riviera theater in North Tonawanda is getting a little help from The Boss. The Riviera will feature a Bruce Springsteen concert on a high-definition screen at 8 p.m. Feb. 29. The Riviera is one of the few places in the country where it can be seen.
Bruce Springsteen is allowing only certain historic theaters to show this concert and keep all of the proceeds. Throughout the 1970s & '80s Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band barnstormed America, rocking audiences in clubs and performing arts centers all across the country. Many were, in fact, classic theaters from the Golden Age of vaudeville and "picture shows".
Bruce's fondness for these iconic Movie Palaces has lead to his commitment to support fundraisers to help community based theaters underwrite an ongoing digital cinema program. Emerging is proud to partner with Bruce in making his thrilling HD concert films available to our hometown.
Tickets for the event cost $18 or $20. To reach the Riviera box office, call 692-2413. Want to see Bruce live and in person in Western New York? You can do that on March 7th at the HSBC Arena in Downtown Buffalo; there are tickets still available for this event. Those tickets are just a bit more ranging from $65 to $95.
