Henry, did you mean to have a link to a particular website with stories of or from Derek Bauer? If so, I missed it. (I'd love to see what you're referring to!)
David Holzman,
I did not do that because I did place his full name in the story and if people are interested then they can place his name in the search box and they can visit his site. Then the other reason is because I am not that tech savy as to know how to do that. But it is just as easy to place his name in the search box and it will bring anyone right to his site. Thank you for your concern and awareness.
I'm sorry, I didn't realize he was an AR member. (Somehow I thought there was some book by (or about) him or some website with his stories - not even thinking about an AR blog.)
Silly me! (Thanks for straightening me out gently!)
There's a lot I don't know, but I can help you with the tech-savy thing of including a link:
1) Find the web-page you want to link to and highlight the URL up in the "Address" line (it's at the top of the page in Internet Explorer and most other web-browsers)
2) Copy the whole URL (easily done by holding down the CTRL key and pressing "C" or "Command" plus "C" if you use a Mac instead of a PC.)
3) Create your blog entry and highlight the word(s) you want to use as the link.
4) Click on the link icon at the top of your blog-entry window (it looks like a link from a chain - and is the 5th icon from the right)
5) A small window will (eventually) open up. Highlight the text in the top line of that window ("http://") and "paste" the URL from step 2 into that line.
6) Click on "Insert" and you're done!
You can do steps 1 and 2 after you've created your blog entry by opening another window.
Hope this helps for the future.
And thanks again for setting me straight!
