Walking for a cause -- New York to San Francisco

I first heard of this story this morning while watching ESPN, Outside the Lines.

George Martin,  a 14 year veteran of the NFL -- he played defensive end for the New York Giants and has a Super Bowl Ring -- is up to big things in life --  he is on a quest to raise 10 Million dollars for the first- responders of the 9/11 tragedy.

Imagine being able to touch the lives of some 40,000 people -- that is the approximate number of firefighter, police, EMS and volunteers who have been affected by breathing the contaminants without protective masks.

He started his walk in September 2007 at The George Washington Bridge in New York and his walk will end at San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge.  The walk will cover 3,300 miles -- and he has taken a year off from work as an executive to accomplish this goal.

So far he has lost 30 lbs and raised more than a million dollars.

Aziz, that is one huge commitment and a very long walk.  I hope that he has much success in completing it and raising funds for this very important cause.
