Choosing Where to Live Makes a Big Difference
When buying a home, make sure you consider your lifestyle and personal and family preferences. You may need to live with a mistake is selecting you home for a long time. If you love walking on the beach, living beachside may be in order. If you enjoy your privacy a large lot community may be best.
There are many choices when considering a home in the Daytona Beach area:
- Large Planned Communities
- Single Family Homes
- Small Developed Communities
- Gated Secure Communities
- Large Lot Communities (5-10 acres)
- Age Restricted Communities
- Manufactured Home Communities
We've live both beachside and on the mainland. We've enjoyed both, in the end decided we needed more room which is more affordable on the mainland. We're still just a few minutes from the beach, but we live in a small community of 35 homes tucked out of the way. The only traffic is from the development, so it's very quiet.
It took us a while to get it right, but we're very happy now.
Each of the options have advantages and disadvantages. Large communities tend to have planned activities and a lot to do. Homes close to downtown areas are great for walkers and people who enjoy familiar territory. Condos and townhome communities are great for people who need to be able to lock and leave without worry.
No one can tell you where you should live, but take the time to consider the type of community or home you are most likely to enjoy. It may result is more satisfaction and happiness with your home choice. Living in a great place like the Daytona Beach area will only be enhanced with the right home.
