Open House Blitz

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Cape Cod and the Islands

This past weekend our office had an "open house blitz" in Falmouth, MA. There have been some interesting results. We did open houses on both Saturday and Sunday from 9-11, 12-2, and 3-5 or about 10 open houses over the 2-day period. The weather was good both mornings with clouds taking over about 1:00 PM on Sunday afternoon.

We promoted the open houses with mailings to known buyers, mailings and e-mails to area agents, in the local newspaper and on various websites.

On Saturday, there were very few people who just dropped-in. They came because they were told about the open house either by us or other agents. Sunday morning was a surprise, however, as 36 people came to a listing that has been on the market for nearly a year. Go figure.

As of now, no offers have materialized from the open houses but it's a bit early. Each of the agents who covered the open houses, however, did get at least one buyer or listing lead.

If you have a technique that you feel makes your open houses successful, please let me know.

Great, at least you got traffic and got a buyer lead.  I would hope out of 36 people coming through  that you got at least one.  Otherwise those people were looky lu's

It's funny but the attendance was good as long as the sun was out. The sun went in and the traffice died down.
