favorite motivational movies

I  am not a big movie buff. I do love movies that motivate me. Two of my favorites have to be "The Pursuit of Happyness" and "The Bill Porter Story". I would love to hear from the rest of you as to which are your favorite movies for personal motivation.

I have to agree with "The Pursuit of Happyness." This might sound strange but I always liked "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" because of how with peristance paid and a lot of patience they found the prize.

Check out "The Final Season" on DVD in April. It did OK at the box office and is a true story made here in Iowa. Great true story!

I like "The "Rookie" and "Hoosiers" too.

For me the movie "Rudy" was a huge motivator and an inspiration about a kid who wanted nothing more than to play football for Notre Dame but lacked size, he lacked skill but he had the determination.  My second place movie is  probably "Vision Quest" which was about a high school wrestler who was faced with some challenges.  There are many great motivating movies for sure and I also enjoyed "The Pursuit of Happyness." and thought that not many people could or would go through what he did to get that job.

This might sound dumb, but for motivation, I still like Rocky. It shows that with determination and hard work, you can achieve your goals!

Sharon - That doesn't sound dumb to me.  I also liked Rocky 4 where he was training at that cabin in Russia while Drago was using all the high tech stuff.  That movie was all about determination and focus.
