So I may be the biggest skeptic that ever lived. There are so many products out there these days that are going to create some kind of miracle in your life.....Take this pill and lose weight, put this cream on and look 20 years younger, spray this on for a full head of hair. YEAH RIGHT!!! I mean come on who buys into that stuff?
You can imagine then what I was thinking when my chiropractor told me I needed to watch "The Secret". He told me how he had improved his life, health, and business all by watching this so called miracle video. (If you have not heard of "The Secret" basically it is the power of positive thinking, the laws of attraction.) Now at this point I was thinking he was tired of hearing about all the negative in my life and just trying to break it to me gently. I mean after 25 years in law enforcement and being surrounded by criminals a person can get pretty negative, and that I was!!! Now I was trying to get my real estate business going so I could leave law enforcement for good, but my wheels just seemed to be spinning and going nowhere. So I reluctantly took the video home with me that day.
After watching it I still thought it was a line of crap, but at that point what did I have to lose? So I thought I would start out with baby steps. The video talked about a man that could not find parking at work, so he started to visualize it before he left his house in the morning. Sure enough, according to the video, there was a spot waiting for him when he arrived. My office just happens to have the same problem, so I gave it a try and visualized the parking spot. When I arrived at work there was NOT ONE PARKING SPOT OPEN!!! I KNEW IT!!! Still I did not give up right away. I kept imagining the spot as I drove around the block and when I got back, what do you know ,there was a spot waiting for me. IT WAS A MIRACLE!!!!! or was it? I was still skeptical but it was actually feeling good being positive. So I started thinking positive about my life. I started believing in myself and my business. Things have really changed for me, my business is the best it has ever been, and I feel happy and healthy most days. I still get down on my luck from time to time, and when I do my wife will look at me and say "Remember the secret."
So is this really the law of attraction or have I just made myself more approachable and more pleasant to be around. What ever it is, it is working for me and I encourage you to watch "The Secret" for yourself. Really, what do you have to lose?
