We spend too much time talking instead of lead generate

Real Estate Agent with HomeSnipe Real Estate, LLC

The last time I spoke about how the innovation of technology changes the real estate industry.  Many of my

colleagues like myself prefer to work at home to avoid small talk with our fellow agents.  It is not that we are not enjoying them, but we spend too much time talking instead of lead generate.   This new approach tends to be more productive and changes the notion of giant offices, which we no longer need.  It is true that we need to create professional environment for our clients, but we feel that the office setting can be too constraint.   We prefer to meet our clients at a local coffee shop that provides enough privacy to engage in casual business.  Of course, we generally buy for everybody.  One of my clients thanks me for taking them out while we were writing an agreement of sale because her 5 years old was angry.

That sounds like a great idea. I currently have a lead that I need to set up an appointment with, and my office is a little out of the way, so maybe I can suggest the coffee shop idea. Thanks!

Right you are...It is so easy to get caught up in "Water Cooler Talk" & miss opportunities to prospect for additional business.

I have been working from my home office & feel I am getting more projects completed than not!  I make sure to stop in the office a couple times a week, but do not stay in the office all day as I have in the past.

It takes dedication to prospecting to keep this business going!

Thanks for sharing!

Talkers in the office will drain you, I meet at a Duncan Donuts many times with clients and I tip them very very well.  No only are we using their place of business to do our business but they will treat you like a friend if you take care of them.  Five extra bucks goes a long way on a 5 dollar order.
