BuySide Realty, an online residential real estate brokerage firm, has expanded operations to Texas.
The Chicago-based company will now allow Texas homebuyers and sellers to connect via its Web site (http://www.buysiderealty.com/). For those who buy their homes through BuySide, they will receive a 75 percent rebate on the commission off the sale of the home. Sellers can list their home for free on the Multiple Listing Service and Realtor.com.
BuySide also employs licensed, non-commissioned agents to assist customers from offer to closing.
To date, BuySide has paid buyers millions of dollars in rebates, with an average rebate of more than $11,000 per home. The company already has operations in California, Florida, Illinois, Georgia, Virginia and Washington.
"Texas is a substantial new market for our BuySide services," says Joseph Fox, CEO of Iggys House Inc., the parent company of BuySide. "In 2006 and 2007, more existing homes were sold in Texas than in any other state."
