Opa! Whether your heritage boasts authentic Greek lineage or not, come be Greek for a day or maybe even two days as the celebrate the world and beauty of Greece -- in the desert.

Attending this annual evengreek flagt held in Palm Desert gives you a chance to fully immerse yourself in the Greek culture as the participants warmly open their hearts and minds to give a rare glimpse into the beauty and the awe inspiring way of life that has given birth to many other nations as well.  You are not required to be of Greek origins, nor are you required to love them, but you ARE required to enjoy yourself as you explore the endless possibilities of authentic Greek cuisine and view the beautiful dances and activities available for everyone to participate in.

The festival ranges from guided tours through their church, St. George,  to view the award-winning Byzantine Mosaic Artwork as well as take a step back into the past while re-living the history of Orthodox Christianity through knowledgeable tour guides by stories and examples.  Finding the beginning of what brought us the culture we have all come to know and love goes a long way toward helping us understand their customs and practices.

Have a sweet tooth for some authentic Greek baklava?  Your children get to have their fun and food by visiting the Herculez Kidz Zone where they can choose from a multitude of activities like the rock climb or simply enjoy the carnival atmosphere by playing a number of different games.

The Greek Festival in Palm Desert offers something for everyone, from the mouth watering food to the music that comes from the heart of a people who make their feelings and thoughts come alive through folk dances, music, and demonstrations.  Enjoying something or everything is your choice and trying to fit it all in during the short two day festival might just be your most difficult task.  With such a variety of activities for adults and children alike, no one is left bored once they arrive.

Come enjoy the atmosphere of food, family and fun while you get to be Greek for a day and live in their culture for a number of hours.  Experience Greece, the culture and the people, at the annual Palm Desert Greek Festival where you don't have to be Greek to have fun.
