I know this is a blog about Fairfield Real Estate and Home Values.  However, sometimes you just have to take a moment to recognize great service.  Lexus of Westport is known for their tremendous care and concern for their customers.  I am now riding in my third Lexus...an ES 350.  I have been impressed with the quality of the car and the quality of the service for a long time now....

I felt compelled to share my most recent experience.  It began 15 minutes before kick-off on Super Bowl Sunday.  Dad called to say my Mom needed to go to the hospital.  He called an ambulance for Mom.  I picked him up and we drove to the Emergency Room.  I won't go into all the details but Mom is doing fine.  Dad and I watched the Superbowl on The Emergency Room TV above her bed.  We waited and waited and waited for the doctor to give us an update.  At 3AM after being told we would hear nothing more tonight, we left for home.  I dropped my Dad off and told him I would be by to pick him up in the morning for a return to the hospital.

I get up the next morning, come down to the garage and notice something not quite right.  I have the flatest tire I have seen in a long time.  No problem - I have AAA.  So I call and they tell me that it will be two hours before they can get to me.  Way too long. 

I decide to change the tire myself.  However, I skipped the session on where to place the jack. So I call Lexus to ask - how do I get this done....and the most amazing thing happened....in the midst of explaining my problem and the urgency....the voice on the other end of the phone offered to come right over and change the tire.

He showed up 15 minutes later and accomplished his mission.  He showed me the nail that had lodged itself in my tire and offered to take the tire with him to have it repaired.  He let me know I could pick it up later in the day on my way back from the hospital.

In a day where I am already stressed with my Mom in the hospital, over tired from too many hours in an Emergency room chair and not enough in bed, it was great to have someone care more about my problems than theirs - going out of their way to deliver great customer service.

This is my way of saying Thank you to Lexus! Thank you for taking care of me and my car....and thank you for demonstrating Service Excellence!
