So much has gone on over at the BHB lately, all of which I have learned today (don't tell Greg, he will call me some mean names). Writers are leaving, everyone in the RE.NET has HAD IT with "him."

We all know that GS at the BHB likes to create drama for web traffic (he ACTUALLY TOUTS IT).

People are running, screaming, quitting, unsubscribing in droves.

Could this be the end for a once-revered re.net blog?

There are some jaw-dropping threads at 4realz.net and Sellsius. Pop a bag of popcorn, grab a diet coke and enjoy.

Also, props to my sista over at the Rain City Guide for winning the Greatest Real Estate Agent in the World competition

I came up with a bit of a concrete solution for the bullying some people have experienced. At least I think it's a concrete solution.

You guys are cracking me up with all this blog war humor. Joe just took Greg to school with his satire piece mocking Greg's comment policy. Notice how all the hounds are posting away trying to push Greg's comment policy piece to the bottom of the page all a sudden.

A few points, if I may. All my opinion.

1. Jay Thompson is a straight shooter, but with a heart. He will tell you he disagrees with you but he won't kick you in the cod piece while he does it. Now, I prefer people with heart, that's just me.

2. Brian Brady is a vendor protecting his investment at the sake of principle by refusing to admit Greg Swann attacked MD. I understand it from an economic standpoint (less ticket sales) but it repulses me on moral principles. Heck, I was a catholic school raised altar boy, (& Brian went to catholic school too), and though I've picked up many vices since then (sorry Lord), one I did not get was avarice.

3. I defend Greg's right to insult, abuse, flame-- whether or not he calls it satire (much of the time it's not, sometimes it is IMO). But I defend it based on free speech principles. Do I agree or support it. No. Why? Because it's not a good example for those blogging for business, it's not good marketing (traffic is not good traffic, i.e convertible) and it encourages blog wars. Plus you make enemies instead of friends.

4. If Greg can dish it, he should be able to take it. You can't be for free speech for yourself and not for others. Just like in real life, you take a pot shot at someone, you gotta be prepared for one in return. I'm not saying shut your mouth, but just watch when you open it, you may get a virtual fat lip. That's life in America.

I've been thinking all weekend about the "consequences" of flame-bating, personal attacks etc. I've heard many people say things like "you have the right to say this or that" blah, blah, blah AND you run the risk of the consequences that follow of your actions.

Everyone has the right to do whatever he/she pleases, but when the consequences follow, don't cry "foul."

Perfect summation of my thoughts. Is "summation" a word?
