Where do you start when managing a project?

Create a Scope Statement

1. Start with a Project purpose - What is the purpose?  That is why you start any project.
2. Description of Product/service - What is the end result?
3. Project relationship to business need - How will this bring benefits to the cause?
4. Project Objectives - Who will this project affect?
5. Project justification - What will it take and do you have the money?
6. Project deliverables and exclusions - Will their be a good return on your investment?
7. Supporting details - Things you don't want to forget.  Get the help and support you can't do without.

• List of management needs
• Approval requirements
• Finalize procedure for accepting completed products.
