ACCREDITED STAGING PROFESSIONAL

By

I finished my Accredited Staging Professional course one week ago today.  It was a very interesting yet rewarding experience.  The first day was sort of disappointing because I felt like I spent 8 hrs in a classroom learning about things that really wouldn't help me actually stage a home.  I remember feeling as though there was no way I'd be able to stage someones home if asked and how would I ever learn enough the following day to make up for lost time.

Day 2 came and we entered the course knowing we would be in lecture for only 1/2 the day and the other 1/2 of the day would be spend actually staging a home in the area.  The lecture portion taught a ton of tips!  How to place doormats, how many colors should be on the outside of a home, how to clean cabinets and even repair chipped counter top edges!  We divided up into groups and went to the house to begin staging.  Each group was assigned a room.  We literally went into this complete strangers home and revamped.  It was a ton of work, a great learning experience as well as a great reward when completed!  I can't wait to put my new designation to work!!  Remember Staging is not decorating!  Staging is depersonalizing a home and preparing it for a sale!
