The Pink bedroom and Hannah Montana

I staged a home today that seemed common sense and didn't need my professional opinion on what they needed to change to attract more buyers! But if they were going to pay me who am I to say no :) The home was only 3 years old and beautiful. Hard wood floors granite all the extras you would imagine in a home that is on the market for 2 million dollars. I instructed the homeowners to leave the home in the condition in which they do for a showing. WOW! It was clean don't get me wrong, but clearly they needed help. The office had 2 broken computers on the floor with all the wires. they had stacks of folders lining the wall and the bookcase looked like every book from the library was on every self! But the best was the girls bedroom that had it's own private bathroom was painting bright pink with every wall covered in Hannah Montana posters. Now my daughter's room looks similar but I'm not selling my home! Oh did I mention the 200 stuffed animals that were in her room? I told her to take EVERYTHING out and I mean everything and we would start from scratch. We repainted the room a neutral color then changed the highschool musical shower curtain with a nice clean new one. We only added back some books and replaced the posters with a nice hanging print from another part of the home. They had an open house last week and are now negotiating an offer from the same people that said they didn't have kids and didn't like the home the first time they saw it!!!!
