People have always appreciated the exclusive neighborhood of Willow Glen. It has a lot of charm and it is alluring to be part of this unique neighborhood that you can stroll about with your family and admire the beauty of the tree-lined streets and craftsman style architecture. Willow Glen is the epitome of Suburban life and it holds dear of the old generation philosophy of befriending thy neighbor. It also feels really good to support the local vendors that help keep Willow Glen to be the most charming place to live. As they say ... Smile, you're in Willow Glen!"Willow Glen is the only neighborhood within San Jose to offer a quaint downtown full of shops and dining choices. You can spend the entire day walking down 'the Avenue' enjoying and socializing as well as getting your chores done. You can start off your day off eating at Bill's Cafe, or if you have a small appetite, just a cup of coffee and pastry from any one of the many coffee shops. You can then venture to your local bank branch do your business there, drop off your laundry, then do your sundries shopping at Long's Drugs. Boy, by now you're getting hungry so you have the choice of Chinese, Japanese, Greek, Italian, Pizza or Deli food. After a relaxing lunch its time for a little shopping! If you love unique and stylish clothing, Details is the place to go; Bernie and Robyn will help you find a cute little outfit (or a sporty look for the manly man). It's getting a little late, but you have about 1.5 hours before you have to go home. There's this book you've wanted to read for weeks: "The Millionaire Mind". You walk down to Willow Glen Books and pick it up. Looking across the street you see The Grapevine, and tonight's dinner is a special one; it's your husband's birthday and it's a good excuse to celebrate with a nice bottle of wine; the wine merchant helps you find the perfect varietal for your dinner menu. You stroll out of the shop smiling at the pleasant people walking by because you've had a busy day, a fun day, but you have accomplished so much. Life is good in Willow Glen!
