Miracle Team - 4 days start to finish!!

Wow what a week! I met with a Chicago Builder last Friday night that decided to stage a vacant home that is going to draw traffic from the Chicago Luxury Home Tour... yes the one that started yesterday. He has a absolutely gorgeous house on the tour. He challenged me to pull together one of his vacant properties so he could promote the base model of the showcase house a few miles away, and next to 3 others on the tour. WELL..11 rooms! 4 Days over the holiday weekend! fully furnished! Do miracles exist? Here is some of the first floor. Thanks to Kris at Brooks Furniture rental...I couldn't have done it with out her.

Absolutely elegant, Margaret. Hope you had some colleagues, or family or friends to help you. What a challenge! Who knows, maybe that furniture will sell with the home which would mean less work for you on the back end. It sounds like you had your work cut out for you on the front end!!

The floral pieces are absolutely gorgeous and you could not have picked a better match of the furnishings with the style of the home and the wall colors. Janis -Thanks for you comments, most of the furniture is rental and you know its always easier to take apart than put together.

Kathy N- Thank you, I think I'm blushing

Kathy P - thank you.. it was a whirl wind.

Gary - Thank you, The florals really fit this house and the builders wife loved them so much she bought them all and were in the middle of a remodel in their personal home.

Diania - This was a wonderful project that opened many doors for us. Were thrilled. Thank you for stopping by.

Marci - It was stunning in person and the builders wife immediately claimed them all, I was almost sad that I'd never get them back.

Shannon - Window treatments give you a finished look and you don't have to add as many accessories. Once you start is almost impossible to go back.

Susan - This was a bigger than our normal staging budget because of the luxury tour, 11 fully furnished rooms, and because of the time crunch we had to purchase some furniture to insure delivery. (No deal shopping here) Our end was about 14k plus the furniture rental and that wasn't easy.

Kathy- Thanks! I love doing windows - I have developed a relationship with several seamstress's and work rooms. You'd be surprised what you can do with a few remnants and a 2x4. They look expensive but they're not! I also mix in ready-mades or embellish them to give them a custom look.

Kimberley - Thank you, You need to have good resources in place, make quick decisions and nerves of steel!

Thank you Sandra - We stage both equally and often work with just the home owners furniture. Everyone has there own style and I would say I'm a "lifestyle" stager (if thats a real term).
