Love Lake County Indiana!

By
Real Estate Sales Representative with Home Advantage Real Estate

For those of you who are not familiar with Lake County Indiana we border Illinois Cook County (Chicago). I live in Schererville Indiana which is roughly 30 miles SE of the Chicago Loop. I am just a few miles south of Lake Michigan and great beaches. Our home prices tend to be lower and our lots a lot larger than most of the Illinois Chicago suburbs. Schererville actually made it on the forbes top 100 places to live!! Schererville shares a township with St John IN and Dyer Indiana. We have the same school system, they call us Tri-town. I specialize in tri-town, rather than just Schererville as they are pretty much the same. Some people have left our area for a warmer climate and many of the more fortunate ones have a Florida getaway when the snow gets too rough (as in THIS YEAR). I have grown to like the 4 seasons, I never get bored! Just when I have had enough hot & humid days...fall comes to save me. Then when the snow and cold begins to get old..here comes spring! I was born and raised in Lake County Indiana and it took me a while to realize...How Lucky I Am!

Cindy, your area sounds very nice.

I went to Chicago for the first time a few years ago and loved it! Loved the people and the city. I hope to be able to visit again soon.
