Hey Jason,

That's so funny!!  We never know what we'll see on those checks.  I wish I had something equally funny to add.  Or maybe not, I suppose I am fortunate to have been bored on my property checks.

Geeeshh! @ Rich!!!!!

The worst I ever have had is the outside doors open and fences open, guess I am lucky, but then I only take listings in good areas!!!

I sold a property (REO) last year as a BA.  The buyer was out of state, so as a courtesy if I am in the area I check up on the property.  I noticed people were moving in.

I emailed the buyer happy that they were able to rent out the property within days without the work they were going to do.  They called me promptly to inquire what the HECK I was talking about!  I told him what I witnessed, and sure enough, somebody had rented out the property.  .

Luckily it turned out he was wanting the property for rental purpose anyways.  They allowed the contractors access to make the renovations, signed his lease, and he let them remain without a new security deposit (but agreed to credit it to them if they decided to buy it from him).  He actually turned the negative into a positive (he got lucky).

The worst I seen though was a missing door (with my lockbox) and a window that was cut out, frame and all (not a new window).  I always assume the copper is gone, so its a surprise when the copper is actually intact.

The REO Business puts you in the "War Zone" of the cities.  It's a different world of RE.
