Preparing To Sell Your House, Not Your Home

By
Real Estate Agent with Century 21 JL Allen

Make The Transition from your Home to a "House" that needs to be sold as quickly as possible

Say to yourself, "This is not my home; it is a house -- a product to be sold!

Make the mental decision to "let go"

Picture yourself handing over the keys to the new owners!

Don't look backwards -- look toward the future.

De-Personalize

Pack up those personal photographs and family items.

You want buyers to imagine their own photos in their new home !

Get Rid of the Clutter!

If you don't need it, why not donate it or throw it away?

Remove all books from bookcases.

Clean off everything on kitchen counters.

Put essential items used daily in a small box that can be stored in a closet when not in use.

Rearrange Bedroom Closets and Kitchen Cabinets

Imagine you will have pictures taken for "Home and Garden" Magazine, so of course everything must be in order

Great info thank you Francine. When selling you have put your emotions a side and take care of the business.

Yep, a house is not a home without a family.  Remove the family and the home becomes a house.  <g>
