The Draw of North Carolina - Why are so many Northerners Relocating to NC?

As the colder weather continues to hang in the air, many residents are thinking what you're thinking, wouldn't it be nice to move to a warmer climate?  The Cary/Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area of NC is a favorite relocation spot for a number of reasons.  This year, Money Magazine voted Apex and Holly Springs, NC, in the Top 100 Best Places to Live.  In the past three years, this list has included Chapel Hill, Cary, Raleigh, and Durham!  There are an abundance of accolades for the area - numerous third parties have highly ranked the state capitol area for its quality of life, wealth of educational opportunities, strong job growth and varied entertainment options.  The warm and welcoming climate - a big draw for the area - is not the only lure of the Triangle area.

After relocating here myself a few years ago, I see where the attraction lies.  The blue sky days and warm weather are definitely nice after living in areas where snow can come and stay for months - but that's not all.  Southern hospitality still exists and the people here seem to have a genuine warmth about them.
