With most people using free email accounts from gmail, yahoo, hotmail, etc. it can be difficult for an out of state client to receive and view pictures.
Take today for instance, an out of state client asks me to look at a rental property for her. I take 18 photos for her of the condo, the complex, and the surrounding area so she can get a real good idea of what she may be renting.
Instead of trying to send 18 pictures to her gmail account and risking the photos being blocked by the email server because of the size, or using up all of her inbox space I created a custom page for her on my web site.
It takes less than an hour to format the pictures and get a page up. I can write a personal message to the client and make them feel as if they are important, which they are! I threw an example of a scaled down version on my website so you can see what I am talking about at http://www.peoria-real-estate-info.com/XXX-client-custom-search-page.html. The page does not have any internal inbound links so your other visitors won't stumble upon it.
I have gotten a lot of positive feedback from clients by doing this.
Often times out of state clients are leads from your company or referrals from other agents so directing them to your web site allows them to get a feel for you as a person, and also shows them that you are wiling to put some time in working for them.
Just something to think about the next time you are out there previewing a property for your clients.
