Jim and Billie Harsch, Realtors in Park City, Utah, run the Park City Journal community blog. They also own a movie production company, Crazy Parkite Productions, where they produce feature films, short films, and web-based commercials. The Harsch's discovered that the use of one, the blog community, is a good way to promote the other.
"We hope to blog every day (or at least every other day), so visit the site occasionally to see what's going on with the progress of our film and video productions," suggests Jim.
The Harsch's will also have an article written in the Sunday Salt Lake City Tribune featuring NBA star Mark Eaton, the subject of their next movie production. "The writer found out about the story through our blog and will also mention the blog in the article," states Jim.
Not only that, in an effort to create awareness for Park City Journal, the couple have run a special half-page ad in their local paper which has garnered good results. (Click here to download a PDF version.)
