Reading a blog entry about car mechanics reminds me that when I leased my SUV three years ago, almost immediately the battery started dying. Three times I had the dealership tow me or come out and jump me only to be told there was nothing wrong after they tested the battery. This was a BRAND NEW CAR! On the fourth time I demanded to see the service manager... he huffed and puffed and still refused to try a new battery. By the end of the tussle, he did me a "big favor" and put in a new one. Ran fine ever since! Squeaky wheel finally got the grease!

I understand your frustration.  It took me 7 months, 13 tows into the dealership (after the SUV would not catch when it was cranked), numerous conversations with the service manager, as well as the regional manager of GM itself before they finally took my "lemon" back and worked with me on a newer model.  (FYI - For future reference, I heard it's best not to buy a car built on a Monday or a Friday...)
