Be who you are and the business will follow

I recorded a new voicemail a couple of weeks ago that quotes a Bible verse "the hand of the diligent will succeed."  Of course the common idea in business these days is that you shouldn't show your faith to anyone because it may cost you business.  I don't go by that thinking because I am not looking to win an election or to do the highest amount of sales at any cost.

I am a christian believer in Jesus because I was once a wretched person and He saved and changed me into a new person (read my story at http://www.awretchnomore.com/ ).  So business isn't all about the dollars it's about helping people, doing everything in a way that will glorify the Lord, and being a real person that builds real relationships with my clients.

So despite the common thinking that you should keep your real beliefs quiet I recorded my voicemail.  Today I got a call off of a sign and after the caller heard my voicemail about God's promise of success to the diligent this caller decided that we should meet to talk about two developments that he has that need to be sold.  I'll be getting together with him next week to talk about listing approximately 45 lots.

This is a case that proves that you can succeed by being confident in who you are and in your beliefs.  It's also an evidence that God does bless and honor those that are not embarassed of Him.
