I am currently in Atlanta and I had the opportunity to attend a 2 hour session called Quantum Leap by Gary Keller. Gary is the founder of the entire Keller Williams Company and these are some great points I learned from one of the great real estate and business minds in the world:
- You will either fail your way to success or you will simply fail. Failure is part of the formula you cannot avoid it, period.
- Get your planner out and do this: Schedule in your vacation/family/play time out for the whole year and then schedule your work into your calendar after that. There's a lot of wisdom in that and the reality is that if you schedule those things first you will still work but if you schedule work first you may never do those other more important things.
- Love is spelled - Time. Love your family this way it's the only way that counts.
- We are born with a predisposition to certain abilities but talent is something that must be developed, no one is born great at anything.
These are just a few of the quick ones. I actually took 4 pages of notes. The fantastic thing is that these are the points that the founder of our business made when he had the opportunity to speak to thousands of agents. It just shows where the value is placed in this company and I am glad to be a part of that. It's not just about buying and selling homes, moving, investing, or making money. It's about living life the right way.
