I havent heard that nor do I believe. I do know that TBW has a smaller U/W staff than other lenders and during that crazy rate drop last month, loan officers were locking and submitting like crazy and TBW had some of the lowest rates at that time. This was the main cause of their turn around times being so long.

Stop all the hating, TBW can't be going out of business. I have 7 loans closing with them over the next 30 days.
have really enjoyed reading some of your past blogs.. I noticed you havent written in some time. Is that because you use and outside blog? thanks for sharing.
this may not be the correct forum to ask . however ,
can you do loans for Phoenix condos?
I have contracts on 20 units $110K each
- investor (not second home or primary)
- full doc
- 20% down
- Non-warrantable
- condo conversion
- full-doc
- seller will contribute 3% towards costs
If you think you may be able to do something , please give me a call
My loan with them just tanked due to their lack of confidence in their own staff. the funder decided that the underwriter (who already approved the conditions) didn't add enough conditions at the 11th hour- the day all conditions needed to be met for Nehemiah!!! My clients lost their Nehemiah funds and have had to move to anothe rlender with a complete file. This is a short sale with CW to make matters worse! But we are rallying spite TBW's poor service and bad attitudes!
I have two clients who are using TBW for their financing -- through different mortgage brokers. Both brokers say that underwriting is REALLY backed up and will take at lease 2.5 to 3 weeks to process. Any idea if this is true?
Wow... it looks like TBW reputation has not changed over the last year... so sad I just read this. I have a loan that has been with the undertakers, sorry the underwritters for almost 15 days... and I'm about to lost the deal. Next time I'll search on a more reliable lender.
I thnk that it is all subjective. I close 90% of all of my loans with TBW. Even though underwriting is extreeeeeemely slow right now, everything I have closed with Taylor has funded. I just closed a streamline with them last week and it funded with no problem. They are about 20 or more days out in underwriting, but my experiences with Taylor Bean for the most part have been favorable. I would prefer not to deal with a couple of the underwriters over there because they are temporarily insane. I think that Taylor is just suffering from too much work and too little staff.
Just my opinion..
Make note of the highlighted section!! It takes them months to hire anyone.
TBW is alive and flourishing. Please stop to think about the fact that many wholesale lenders are now out of business, therefore, that leaves those of us who are still in business quite busy. We hire as quickly as we are aware of the need and then we train as promptly as possible. We lead in technology and have great pricing, a friendly u/w and closing staff who is dedicated to YOU our customers! I happened on this site by accident, however, I am in management and have worked directly for Lee Farkas for over 10 years, this is a AWESOME PLACE to work and you should spend your time and efforts originating loans and not worrying about TBW's place in the market, we are and will continue to thrive in this rapidly changing market place. Take Care and THANK YOU for your continued support!
The rumors are growing more intense. I have been waiting 3 days for a FHA refinance to be funded by TBW. FHA will not be happy about this delay!
I certainly hope TBW is staying alive!
