How not to Blog

I was always into technology, had to have the latest gadget.  Be the first to do anything so when I was introduced to my space by my daughter who is 23 I thought that would be a great way to develop new business and network.  After taking the time to look through my space I decided I liked the concept but not the blog.  So I went searching on the internet and found active rain.  I had no clue how to start so I went and bought Realty Blogging which is helping.  After first logging onto active rain I receive a email from a guy at triangle direct.  Talks to me about building a blog how successful agents have been blah blah blah.  Long story short talks me into building a blog how I will get all this support blah blah blah.  Needless to say I fell for it spent to much money posted blogs with no response.  So I'm reaching out want to network get ideas and feed back as to how blogging is working for other realtors.
