More website visitors = more sales...........

...............and in January I believe it will equal a lot more sales.

Since the first of this year I've been noticing a pretty big change in the days my website, KnoxvilleMLS.com gets most of its traffic.

In 2006 the bulk of my visitors were coming during the week with my most heavily trafficked days being midweek mostly between the hours of 11 AM until about 3 PM or so.

This year Friday is the busiest day followed by Sunday and Monday. Wednesdays are the least visited day.

2:00 PM until about 4:00 are the peak times which has changed but there still that little spike from about 9:00 until 10:00. I belive the 9 to 10 spike is folks on the west coast getting home and surfing for a house.

I'm also seeing about a 25% increase in unique visitors which has happily translated into a very busy January for me and most everyone in my office.

I'm looking forward to seeing the month end statistics from January; I believe we're looking at a significant increase in sales.

How's your website visitors and housing bubble coming along so far this new year?

Jim - My website traffic is similiar as far as peak times - and certainly way up in January. But isn't it interesting how many people surf the web during work hours?   I wonder how much productivy is lost because of it.

Peak days for viewing are Tuesday through Thursday and that is consistent throughout the year and from month to month.

Peak hours are 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m  and then another peak at 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

My views on Tuesday through Thursday are 22% higher than for the rest of the week.  They keep me chained to my computer on those days.

Sunday's.  Forget it.  Most of the calls I get on Sunday are folks asking for Open House information.  They aren't interested in our services, just a map to open houses.  Sunday is my day to roam.

My traffic is blazing this month too, and the calls are WAY up.  I feel like I haven't sat down in days.  On the blog I have my highest traffic on weekends.  Go figure.
