It's so funny to me how small the world really is due to the Internet. Some months ago I stumbled across Active Rain. I sat out on the sidelines for a little while just getting familiar with this whole new world. Slowly I waded in to the Rain and have been having a blast ever since. Due to my new found addiction I have had the pleasure of meeting wonderful people from all over the country whom I never would have had the opportunity to meet had it not been for this wonderful on line community. I recently started a conversation with a well recognized A/R member...Nora Mareck...otherwise known as the queen of bargain shopping. I asked her if she would be interested in joining me on the radio show to discuss her bargain hunting skills and valuable resources. She graciously accepted and so we have spent some additional time talking by email with one another to outline her show interview. In doing so, we have found out the most interesting things...we were both born in the same hospital in New Haven Conn. We both moved to Atlanta at the ripe old age of 17...she left Atlanta to move to Florida and I left Florida to move back to Atlanta. I am very familiar with her home town of Melbourne Florida as I use to live not far from there and spent many a weekend on the beach there. She emailed me today to ask my maiden name...I am on pins and needles waiting to hear back from her...could we have any further connections to one another??? You just never know what or who you'll discover in the rain.
