How important is the first picture in a listing? I believe that it is critical to have the best picture of the front of the house be the first in a listing. Especially when the buyers are few and far btwn. There are too many other properties FOR SALE to not have the first picture be the best. Should this picture have a slightly elevated view of the property? Should you have your sign in the picture? There are so many variables that decide what is important. Any comments?

No sign. And no elevation view. Get closer and try not to get the car or the garden wall in the picture. It's all about the house. That's all you should see in the main picture. Just my opinion. :-)

SO TRUE, SO TRUE...IN ALL AREAS WHERE ANYONE IS TRYING TO SELL A HOME THE FIRST THING WE ALL NOTICE IS OUR FIRST VIEW OF THAT PROPERTY!! GOOD OR BAD SELLERS NEED TO TAKE A LITTLE TIME TO MAKE IT LOOK GOOD..

The front photo should be free of clutter, no cars in the driveway and taken during mid afternoon to get the best sun.

This is a great argument. Everyone knows that pictures are key. Especially the FIRST one.
