After reading the groups feelings on featuring posts I have decided as the moderator to try featuring.

I'm going to need your help in doing so. Please let me know if you see a post or wrote a post that you feel should be featured. I can't see them all so if you point one out to me I'll be sure to go read it and maybe feature it.

The group is a great group and I have been trying very hard to keep it on topic. I probably delete a good 10 posts a day that do not belong in the Ethics group. Please-Please remember that the group is about the REALTOR Code of Ethics... ethical problems, REALTOR to REALTOR issues, hearings, arbitration and enforcement issues are all welcomed BUT please no Listing posts, Marketing posts or any non-ethics related posts.

Thanks for cleaning it out. I go to certain groups depending on my mood and it's nice when they are on topic. I will get better at making an effort to flag the ones I think should be featured and the ones that don't belong.

I wanted to share a quote from the late Dr. Albert Schweitzer.

Dr. Schweitzer defined ethics as follows:

There are always benefits to be derived from ethical behavior. When a customer or client believes that you have worked in a professional and honest manner in their behalf, and have protected their interests, they will refer others to you. We should all be proud to participate in a forum which promotes professionalism and must consider it a great honor and privilege to interact in such a manner. We have a responsibility to each other to behave ethically and maintain the security of our profession by establishing measures of control which govern our performance and demand our integrity.

Thank you Becky and Kathy. It is a very interesting group. Becky you need to contact your local board of REALTORS to volunteer for the committee. They may have openings but if not usually committees are put together at the end of the year. Good Luck!
