New Orleans real estate is so exciting! Where else can you find the incredible mix of properties New Orleans has to offer? We’ve got large Victorian mansions, loft-style condos, creole cottages, shotguns, French Quarter townhouses and condos, ranch homes in the suburbs, raised basements, camelbacks, doubles, duplexes…the list goes on and on!

This blog post is to help direct you through this maze that we call New Orleans real estate. You will find loads of information including neighborhood info, property types, and sale info. As always, you can use my website to search New Orleans real estate. Enjoy the post!

Let’s start with:

The French Quarter

New Orleans French QuarterOne of America’s true historic gems. From Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop Bar to Galitoire’s, the French Quarter has much to offer. Take a casual stroll up Royal Street to view the antique shops or party on Bourbon Street. If you try hard enough, your every desire can be fulfilled (well, nearly!).

The best part of the French Quarter? You can live there! You can choose from condos, townhouses, or even free standing single family homes. Want to live next to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie? Well you can! Price per square foot is some of the highest rates in the city but it is all about location in the French Quarter. In 2007, the average price per square foot in the French Quarter was around $360 to $400.
